They opened the doors, took one look at us, and told us they had already given out the available appointments for assistance. We were the third application in the door. Absolute joke. They don’t intend to actually help anyone.

Edited to add: The reply from the agency is an absolute lie. The woman who accosted us while we were trying to get an appointment sneered at us and tried to turn us away before she even knew we were asking for an appointment. They provided no list or any semblance of assistance.

Again, they have no intention of actually helping anyone. They just want to make performative gestures to keep money coming in.

Went to donate as I often did.. the new woman at the desk was shouting to one of the homeless men.. belittling him n saying well... at least you WILL get a meal today.. this lasted 5 minutes in a full room of ppl... then.. without knowing what was in my bags to donate..im 2nd in line.. she yells..we will not take donations of fancy clothing here.. we are clothing the homeless...I said a few choice things to her and asked for a manager. I was told the new director was out and another woman spoke to me n heard the entirety of it n coward about the incident..

This place helps a lot of people with clothes only one change of clothes.Also you can request an interview for a month worth of bus pass.They have a food pantry that they distribute boxed food for anyone in need.If they have your size they'll even give you a pair of shoes and socks.On the weekday they hand out sack lunches with a bottled water.It helps to have missions like these. I've seen people who drive receive a gas voucher if the missionary has time if not by appointment.This place is located right by the transit station bus depot.I occasionally do lunch here.The sandwich comes with packets of mayonnaise and mustard along with a surprise dessert.I enjoy places like this because they love doing something to help our city.Note: They open early only to the volunteers who distributes the food and close at 2:00pm.

Staff is friendly. Prices are amazing. They have a little bit of everything. Unlike some other "outreaches", they actually use the money to help those in need.

I thrift shop at this place once in a while. It's small but the prices are good. Books are $0.25. Cash Only.
