I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt after reading all these poor reviews, but the reviews are unfortunately true. I had a terrible experience at Dear Born Baby and will not be shopping there or supporting them anymore.

I ordered something online that was on minimal discount and it came damaged. I tried calling the store multiple times and emailing about it for a full refund as it came all scuffed and marked up. I received an extremely passive aggressive email from Angie which I later found out she was the manager!

I decided to go in store since I wasn’t receiving any solutions. The manager was basically arguing with me and wasn’t willing to make the exception. She was saying the store credit/exchange is already an exception when that’s already a part of the policy. After a back and forth conversion they did it for me, but it took so much energy and time for something that could have been easily done.

They lost a customer and unless you want to deal with high aggravation, spend your money elsewhere.

I ordered a gift for a baby shower. It was shipped in the items box and not a shipping box. When it arrived my address was written in marker on the items box, the box was ripped in 3 places and you had to hold it together, the tape on the sides was broken so it may have been a return to the store, my shipping label/copy of paperwork was taped on the items box and to remove it peeled off the exterior of the package.

Good money was spent and the item was received like garbage. The company should invest in proper packaging for shipping as well as ship items that are appropriate for sale.

I recently had the misfortune of purchasing a crib from Dear-Born Baby Store, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First off, despite assurances from their staff that the floor model crib I ordered online was in good condition with only minor scratches, it turned out to be significantly damaged. Shockingly, they conveniently failed to mention this when I inquired about its condition prior to purchase.

Upon contacting them about missing pieces necessary for converting the crib into a toddler bed, they initially brushed off my concerns until I provided proof from the assembly instructions. It took them a whopping two months to finally get the missing pieces, during which time I had to chase them relentlessly.

Their false advertising claiming free shipping for purchases over $100 turned out to be a blatant lie. When faced with an exorbitant $350 shipping fee, I opted to arrange my own delivery, only to find out upon arrival that the crib was broken.

Despite their promise to refund my money and cover the delivery cost, they refused to reimburse the delivery guy upfront and instead demanded documentation before even considering repayment. After jumping through hoops to meet their demands, they still reneged on their promise and refused to pay for the delivery.

In the end, I'm out around $800, including the purchase price and delivery fee, and I have yet to receive a single cent back from this unscrupulous establishment. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of Dear-Born Baby Store unless you enjoy being swindled and treated like dirt.

Shady…. Worst company I ever dealt with. I bought a mini crib on December 15, 2024. It says FREE shipping when checking out. 4 days later they send me an email saying it’s $70+ tax for shipping. I contacted them and they say it’s in their shipping policy. I was so mad that it wasn’t displayed, I felt like they were ripping me off, by putting me on the spot. I refused to pay for the shipping and had my daughter and husband go pick it up…. 45 min drive. The service was slow and brutal and the people there were rude and had bad attitude. I will never use this company again.., I don’t trust them or like their cheap shady practices…

Came here on the weekend to learn more about the million baby things you need. Angie (Store Manager) was SO knowledgeable and was a 12/10. She was so calm, and took her time with us as first time parents to explain things and guide us with no pressure. Many people told me that dear-born was more knowledgeable around products and that was indeed the case. thanks Angie !!

We placed an on-line order for a high chair bundle that was on-sale (20% off); at the time I had the choice of ordering from Dear-Born Baby or West Coast Kids, I chose Dear-Born Baby to try and support a smaller local business.

Two days after the order was placed I received a call letting me know that they oversold the item and it was no longer available in the style we had selected, I had the choice of getting it in a different style, or receiving a refund. Of course the item is no longer on-sale so I cannot simply purchase it from a competitor (which in hindsight I should have done in the first place).

When speaking with the representative from Dear-Born Baby I noticed they had the same high chair available as two components (not the bundle I had originally purchased), I asked if they would be able to send it to me as the two components instead, but upon confirmation with her team she let me know they would not be willing to do that, so my choice was to accept the style that we did not want, or accept the refund and miss the sale that we could have gotten if we had purchased elsewhere.

Unfortunately this has left a bad impression of Dear-Born Baby and we will be avoiding them for any future purchases, and I would urge anyone else who is contemplating Dear-Born Baby vs a competitor to seek out the competitor instead.

This business is a scam. Don't buy from here. We purchased a car seat on Amazon through these guys. They refuse to refund us or give us any information about our order. Basically stole $569.99 from us and we still haven't gotten our money back. Its been more than a month.

I decided to order from dear born since location wise it was the most convenient for my in laws to pick up a part for me as i have a newborn baby and it said they had the part i needed in stock and it would be ready for pickup the next day.

Well the next day when my MIL went to pick it up for me she was told that it wasn’t in stock and sometimes the website isn’t updated to reflect accurate inventory and they didn’t know when it would be back in stock (Despite what they promise on their website). Needless to say this was very frustrating considering Dear born holds themselves out to be a high end baby store, the part was not cheap, and no one contacted me at any point (and still has not) about the in stock and delivery information about my order being incorrect.

The manager was apparently very rude and non chalant about the whole thing to my MIL. I contacted the store after to cancel the order by email and never got a response, i called and a customer service rep said they would flag my email for a follow up. I never did hear back from anyone regarding their stock issues or acknowledging i wanted to cancel my order, or providing any refund information, but when i clicked on my order status to check it it does look cancelled. Based on the other reviews here i imagine I’ll have to be diligent in checking for a refund.

All of this is contrary to what their website says and promises they will deliver as a store. I won’t be back, and was able receive correct stock information from more reputable stores like snuggle bugz and west coast kids and will stick to those from now on.
