Many activities (going to the market is a favourite), great food, and a fantastic environment for kids. Everything we were looking for in a daycare, with passionate and caring owners and educators. 5 stars just isn't enough.
Le Jardin Urbain is a wonderful preschool for kids to play and learn. Currently our 4 year old daughter goes there and loves it! Before her, our now 7 year old daughter went there and loved it! The educators are amazing, attentive to everyone's needs, they teach and help practice skills, both social and motor. They inspire and come up with awesome crafts 🙂 The preschool is run by a family and it is obvious how they transfer their compassion to make this preschool a day home for the young people 🙂 Co-owner Karina is one of the educators, she is fully part of this place and never a detached director - she will welcome you and your children with open arms and be ready to help make this experience a best one possible.
Books are read daily. The kids play outside daily in any weather. They take walks to Jean Talon market to pick out ingredients for a salad or pick corn to cook at home - a wonderful way to strengthen learning about a healthy lifestyle 🙂
They have their own chef (co-owner) - Danny's home cooking is praised all the time - "you should ask Danny how to make it, his is better" - both our daughters, after we served guacamole at home 😉 a detailed menu is emailed weekly, any allergies are always considered. These kids are super lucky to have healthy, delicious meals served daily. Greatly appreciated! The meals are even loved by the pickiest eaters - our older daughter can tell a story or two about that 😉 She graduated from here and continues her learning adventure at the Le Jardin Urbain Learning Center - so if you are ever thinking of homeschooling your kids - start here, at the JU preschool! Even part time, I bet they'll be asking to go everyday 🙂
Oh! And you can't miss the outings, the field trips are amazing for the kids and well thought out (for example: apple picking, a visit to the Ecomuseum, and another outdoors place with animals I forgot the name of).
Also dealing with challenging behavior is taken care of in a respectful way. The educators write daily activities in the child's communication booklet, nothing is ever left out, the parents are informed about everything.
This little children's paradise exceeds all expectations!
We should let the kids speak about their experience 🙂 They really, really love it. My husband and I love it that they love it 😀
