After meeting with the owners of Select tree Service and going over what needed to be done we felt comfortable going forward and we also like the fact that they would not get paid until the job was done. That was good for us because we had just built a new house and was having problems with workers coming and going and not finishing the job!!
Things did start out slowly because of the weather, but that was fine with us, they came and they did a great job, very friendly and respectful of our property ect.. had no problems.
They did ask for the check before the job was done ($8,350) but there was only one day left of work, again, we were okay with that too. They did leave a couple piles of twigs behind and some wood, but there might of been a bit of miscommunication on that one, again, we were fine with that too.
Then we had them quote out to remove some more trees ($4,500), we called them the next day to communicate about going forward and the wood that they left behind, nothing, then sent a text asking if they got the message, they said yes that they would call tomorrow, nothing, two days later they called (Sunday) wasn't able to answer the phone and they did leave a message but by that time we had gotten a quote from another company and that company knew Select tree Service and told them that we were very dissatisfied with the work they did, which is not what we said, why would we have wanted them to come back and remove more trees if we were dissatisfied, I think that was a little embellished. The only thing that we were not happy with was the communication, we needed to get things done before we had the lawn, fence ect.. to be done and we were in a time crunch, which is why we were looking else where, which I see nothing wrong with that, it had nothing to do with them.
Then what happen next is why this review is so important to us.
You would think that if someone was not happy with the work your company had done you would call and find out what went wrong and maybe try and fix what ever was wrong!
No!! that did not happen!
Much to my surprise they called my husband at WORK and was very aggressive and some what argumentative which escalated into a shouting match. Didn't even want to hear our side of the story.
Again they did a great job and the ONLY thing that we were dissatisfied with was the lack of communication, we needed things done sooner rather then later.
All we wanted was a call to communicate with us, like I said before, why would we request a quote for another job if we were dissatisfied with there work.
We were informed that they did not want to do the job they quoted!
