After researching various daycare centers, we chose this one based on glowing recommendations from friends. Upon visiting, we were impressed by the owner, Bill, who demonstrated a deep commitment to the children's well-being and safety. The center was clean, sanitized, and had a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Unlike other centers, the children were content and well-behaved. My son felt secure and hardly cried at drop-off, which reassured me that I made the right choice. He eats well and takes a full nap, making it clear he’s thriving in this environment.

Entrusting your children to anyone is such an incredibly important decision, especially during their formative years. We looked at many different places and took a tour of three that stood out. From those, The Playspace was a clear winner, no comparison to other daycares. I feel so lucky that we found The Playspace, and grateful that we were accepted there.

My daughter spent her pre-pre-school years there from ages 2-4, and now my son is with them. I feel like we won the lottery - The facilities are clean and well-organized, the staff and owners are warm and demonstrate true empathy and care for our children, the meals are nutritious, and the schedule and overall structure of their days is well thought out. They supported us with milestone development (e.g., toilet use), and my daughter was way ahead of the game with counting, reading, and social ease when she started school.

I’ve seen a few negative comments about the owners in reviews, but in my experience that is an issue with the commenters – the owners are no-nonsense professionals who hold their staff and facility to an incredibly high standard which I respect and appreciate so much. I cannot sing enough praises about The PlaySpace. It is extremely well run, exceptionally clean, and communication with parents is clear. My daughter can't wait to go every morning, and blows kisses to the staff when we leave. Her reaction alone speaks volumes to the quality and care of the centre. Bill, Jen, and all of the staff are fantastic and truly care for each child. It's amazing to see my daughter thriving and learning so much every day. We couldn't ask for a better experience since this has been everything (and more) of what we wanted!

I enrolled my son at PlaySpace in late 2019 after a couple of different home daycares that didn’t fit well for our family. My only regret is that I didn’t start my sons daycare journey at PlaySpace! All of the staff are truly incredible. My son adores going there every day. Our infant daughter will start in their toddler program next year and we can’t wait! As an educator I do have high standards and they exceed them at every turn. Covid has been particularly challenging to navigate and we have experienced little to no interruptions in service. Bill, the owner and manager, has communicated transparently throughout and maintained high standards, even personally screening every family at the door for over 18 months. I can’t say enough good things about Bill, Jenn, and the whole team. If you’re able to get a spot don’t hesitate!

My daughter has been attending the Playspace for about a year now. Bill and Jen have created an exceptional space for child learning and growth. Everyone was very kind and patient during our transition phase and my daughter has flourished at the Playspace. She loves the set up, other children, and the instructors in her room. The Playspace also organizes special events for the children like water days, a movie, a visit from Little Rays. I can’t highly recommend The Playspace enough!

We joined PlaySpace this past winter at the recommendation of a friend who had their toddler enrolled. We found the place to be well kept, the programming sounded quite impressive and the meals nutritional. Unfortunately, from the moment we started transition we had one problem after another with the owner, Bill. We found him to be extremely unprofessional and condescending as new parents navigating childcare for the first time.

We were left with no choice but to pull our toddler out of the centre immediately after we were yelled at in front of other children and parents during drop off.

My recommendation is to ask a lot of questions about the centre and care as he isn’t the best at communicating and being forthright.

We are so grateful to the team at the Playspace for providing our child with a wonderful, engaging and safe environment to learn and play. After issues at a previous centre we had some trepidation about whether a daycare facility would be beneficial for our child. Now, a few months in, our child is growing in independence, confidence, competency, curiosity and development. Most importantly, she comes home extremely happy every day. Bill, Jenn and the team are attuned to her needs and our needs, even helping out with drop off and pickup when we have our hands full. We don’t know where we’d be without them and cannot recommend enough to anyone looking at area daycares.

After touring literally every facility and home daycare we could find, we quickly realized how special The Playspace is! The owners are incredible... so knowledgeable and loving. Our daughter started several months ago, and she has already learnt so much, her speech and creative play is flourishing. Her toddler teachers are just amazing. We are so thrilled to have been able to have had an opportunity to have our daughter enrolled at The Playspace. 5 stars doesn't seem enough, this daycare center is like no other, and I cant speak highly enough about it! Amazing drop off and pick up hours, and just having the peace of mind that you have left your special little babe in such capable hands. If you are looking for a daycare center.. do not hesitate!!!

UPDATE - So our daughter has been attending The Playspace since she was 19 months old. She is now 4 years old and still attends. Covid has been really scary to navigate with children... however we have never had to worry when sending our daughter to The Playspace. I know that when we drop her off, she is safe and very well looked after. The owner does not and will not waiver from the Ottawa Public Health guidelines that keep the children and employees safe. I wish I could give them 10 stars. The Playspace is our family!
